Sunbeam Family Farm is a certified, organic produce farm in Alexandria. At this time of year, their greenhouses are loaded with delicious, fresh, salad greens and transplant starts for the swiftly approaching growing season. They contacted us with a critical problem: The heater in their transplant greenhouse had failed, and the temperature was dropping well below freezing that night! If they were unable to heat the greenhouse, they would lose their ENTIRE tomato crop! That would be a devastating loss.
We quickly dispatched a certified HVAC tech, Andrew, to their farm. He conducted diagnostic tests and determined that the gas valve was suffering an intermittent failure. He was able to replace the gas valve, verify the gas line pressure, and fire up the furnace. They were back in business, and their vegetable crop was saved! What a relief it was to be able to help Sunbeam Family Farm avert a major disaster.
I just wanted to thank you so very much for taking care of our emergency situation with our greenhouse heater this past Saturday. When the tech arrived promptly on Saturday, he said he wouldn’t leave until he was sure it was working properly. That was a huge relief to us. It was 23 degrees this morning, and the heater appears to be doing its job. We appreciate a business that stands behind it’s work. That can be rare these days! Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
